Cute manga, and very fun to read but... Damnit I'm getting so tired of this trope were the main couple are obviously in love but take fucking eon's to finally confess or even just tell each other how they feel. It's getting so old. It honestly just feels like self-sabotage and in this case, the sister and friends sabotaging for entertainment.
I'm kind of sympathetic to the MC because from what I remember, he confessed years prior to the story but was told she see's him more like a little brother, so of course now he second guesses every little thing but man come on she is quite forward. But yet there are parts where the sister calls him stupid for not taking the next step to confess again? I would be saying that the FMC lol.
And for her, being THAT forward and not taking that final step is just...? why? I don't know anyone in the real world like this lmao, it just makes the story feel artificially tensioned and dragged-out, especially for a story like this which is reasonably fast paced and there is a lot going on and time moving every chapter.
It honestly feels like it's going in the "yancha-gal anjou" territory, where it will take hundreds of chapters before anything happens...

Is there an answer to this? I'm refugeeing from My Older Sister's Friend is Annoying, where the FMC is not only not a virgin, but has a very extensive past and she always picked trash guys. Not tryna read a cuck romance. I am tryna find a good older sister's friend manga tho

It'll be an unpopular opinion since romcom comments usually beg characters to "just get together," but IMO, this type of series was better suited for more teasing and courting.
I think having an older crush on someone who isn't a relative but is close to the family is relatable to many of us bois, so series like this really hit a soft spot. But the most interesting part isn't really the boyfriend-girlfriend experience (which is going to be just a normal one anyway), but rather the situations that arise from being constantly close to someone who isn't family. In this case, Hinako visiting the house or the three-way dates with Tsukiko are great setups for doki doki moments.
IMO, the MC having a one-sided crush (or anyway Hinako being unintentionally teasing and cute in third person instead of directly reading into her feelings) should have lasted longer. But this was almost never a thing since the serialization used the one-shot as a basis instead of restarting, which IMO was a mistake. So it went directly to phase 2, with her being openly in love. BOTH characters being constantly bashful or insecure can be frustrating, so them basically dating is better. But at the same time, the manga's gimmick (Hinako being the older sister's friend) becomes irrelevant and it turns into a more generic "I'm dating my upperclassman" series. Which is ok, but feels like already seen.
Anyway, overall it's an enjoyable read so far, it has very cute moments and hope there's room for more. My favorite Hinako panels have to be when she's shown jealous and possessive though. The part when she gets jealous of an elementary schooler for playing in the park with Asahi is the funniest bit of the manga.

7/10 is right where a C grade is which is considered average on a test and 5/10 is an F or failing. It probably has an effect on how people view and rate things since it's such a big thing early on in most people's lives.
