This is the thing that kinda annoys me with this manga. This "development" could be just Shino realizing that she wants to monopolize Nozomi and getting jealous because of Nozomi getting someone else's attention, actual romantic jealousy or absolutely nothing. This isn't the first time the author has pulled this kind of shit here.

I'm currently reading all of the other Kuzushiro's works.


This one is so dramatically different, it's like they are not the same author at all.

Surprisingly, this series, despite being NOT a yuri, feels more of the genre that all their old stuff, because it undestands it's own characters in a deeper level instead of following the usual arquetypes.

It also doesn't help, that most of the old stuff it's comedy full of sexual jokes and Kzshr was pretty goddamn horny in main.

I'm glad you point that out. I'm not fully informed, but I do know kuzushiro has at least 4 ongoing manga publishing monthly (?) right now.

Realistically speaking, that's not possible for one author to be able to churn out chapters regularly and with an organized storyline the way she does working alone.

She definitely has artists that work under her, and I believe they must follow her art style to keep consistency of the manga (either that or kuzushiro draws everything, but only the barebones of her style and the other artists just help her fill in the rest of the busywork/time-consuming stuff).

As far as storylines.... again, I don't actually know how manga industry works, but I think Kuzushiro probably has a consultant/editor, or various editors for each manga she works on, and that person helps kuzushiro develop the storylines and gives feedback to ensure kuzushiro is staying focused/on-theme for whatever genre the manga is about. So I think Kuzushiro definitely has involvement with every single one of her mangas (otherwise it would not be honest to label the manga as a "kuzushiro" work if the manga isn't even worked on by author/artist Kuzushiro).

It's also possible kuzushiro might go for a monthly rotation system such that each month, a particular one of her manga gets the most of her attention, before she moves on to the next one in the next month. In the months in between the manga she's not focusing on for those months, I imagine the consultants/assistant artists mainly reach out to kuzushiro to get her "OK" on where they believe the storyline should go.

Doing things this way would create a more orderly system that prevents the manga from suffering from bad writing/bad storyline development/bad art despite their monthly publishing....

BUT AGAIN, THIS IS ALL LITERALLY MY OWN SPECULATION. The one thing I know for sure though is that Kuzushiro has an editor that helps them with solidifying on the storylines for all the manga she works on..... otherwise they couldn't be this good with the aggressive publishing timelines she has for all her manga, so she has to have some kind of writer/consultant/editor helping out.

The yuribait is strong in this chapter again, leading to some great, funny and cute moments. I kinda expected the jealousy to happen. To top it all off, wouldn't it be great if they meet Heidi on the way? Haha, would love Shino-chans reaction to her.

Unless author wants to punish and shock Shino a little while longer to make the Drama even more angsty.

I like that theory a lot actually. It's like a secret society of artists that just happen to sign with the name Kuzushiro and that have settled on an artstyle (probably the leader one of the group, the original Kuzushiro) in particular. Kinda like a director directing various films at the same time but not putting their own name on the credits but the collective's.

The editor for this work in particular does an outstanding job tho. That's the reason it also has been running for so long after all.

There's also the posibility Kuzushiro is just a really prolific script-writer. All the plot is perfectly planned out for all their series from even before publication, making her only think about the storyboarding part of the process. And I also feel like there's one series in particular she only does for the sake of the LULZ and doesn't really put too much thought into it anyway, kinda like a breather series. (Akasaka Aka's breather series is Oshi no Ko, in which he puts all his edgyness to not affect Kaguya)

Even the afterwords are like "I wanted to do this with this character, but I don't really care it didn't turn out that way LOL"

But seriously, what's with somoe of these shoujo-ai manga artists being so ridiculously prolific with their quantity of works on publication?

There's also Wakame Konbu. She somehow manages to add even MORE works to her on-going projects doing web-serializations on the side and I just want her to stop for her own health.
