oh cool, another chapter from the 10/10 series.
A very sweet dynamic between Yuna and her mom. And I rather liked the balance of Yuna's POV through the first half, with their conversation dove-tailing the nuance with her sudden expanded understanding of why her mother was the way she was. Making that extra bit of effort, realizing she could recognize bits of herself that she could improve to match what she wanted from her mom, was a neat way to close out the chapter, and it felt...proper, and not overly sappy. Authentically Yuna, but cute, all the same.
Also, her mom should probably ditch that guy. Don't give allowances for cheating, yo.

The author is trying to retcon the first work where Yuuna and Ema appear.
This version of Yuuna's mom is nothing like the one in the first work. They explain it with she changed after remarrying, but... yeah, ok.
It's like everything that happens in the first work never happened, or more like they only took the grand lines, "They were coworkers, and they were friendly enough to see each other outside of work", and that's it.
Like a story happening in a parallel universe.
