I like that he didn't sacrifice HER feelings in the end, but this panel still pissed me off.

And that evil dragon getting wrecked as soon as they resurrect is kinda funny, but the status quo being kept so he's still a "loser" is also super annoying.

Mixed feelings about this chapter.

For all the magic in these Shounen,Isekai,fantasy etc stories, rather than punching strong or throwing meteorities characters need a magic that lets them know how others feel about them.

Just started reading this series today and noticed something from this chapter: no one during the demonstration made any comment about his giant magical representation when it came out of the circle.

From the chapter that first introduced the factions: the boy who has the werewolf (and is now constantly chasing after Claudia) was remarked on by everyone and even stated about the size and how it relates to ones power. But no remarks about Washio's when it only showed its upper half out of the circle. Is it being skipped/ignored or is it possibly invisible to everyone but the girls and so perhaps why so many people see him as only rank E?

There's no way this bullshit story will ever pay off in a satisfying manner. It's completely implausible that he's unknown and poor living in a major city. It's stupid that he's poor. It's insane that he's got no respect. There's no justification for his bullshit, beta male personality. This entire story is 1 inch dick nonsense. None of the other bullshit being discussed matters.

It’s crazy that the mc didn’t realize that aria likes him. Also I might’ve just been misreading it but whose feelings were getting taken away? Cause first it said aria’s, then, it changed to his feelings getting taken away, and then back to hers again. Was I just being dumb or was that a mistranslation?😂

He's hinted that there are reasons for being the way he is, but he wasn't ready to talk about it with the girls. Probably something traumatic from when he fought the demon king.

The problem is, it'd have to be something really major to have this kind of effect on him. I suspect the author has written himself into a corner here, 'cause there's not much that could explain his extremely low self-esteem.

That's just about his general attitude and work performance, though. I don't consider his inaction toward the girls as being spineless. He's a teacher and he's almost 50 years old. I'm almost 50 years old and, while not a teacher, I have subordinates. If a young subordinate started coming on to me, I'd probably respond in a similar manner to Washio.

MC reminds me of a character from Piers Anthon’s Xanth novels, who possessed S-tier magic but his specific power set (immunity to harm by magic) acted in all kinds of ways to keep itself hidden. Humiliation didn’t matter so long as he was kept safe. I wonder if MC’s subconscious isn’t doing this to himself as a result of his anxiety and self-esteem issues.

In a room full of researchers and students of magic who can basically feel the magic but not the spell and they're not even wondering why can't they see such a powerful spell.
