its a disconnect between English and Japanese. When you say in English "He never woke up" with no duration modifier, it means that they never woke up, ever. In Japanese, when you say "He never woke up" it means 'for a while'; that while might be all eternity, or it might just been for a few hours or a few days. But in this case, if you add the modifier it ruins the twist (which we all knew was coming but)

A better way to word it might be along the lines of "Washio collapsed after the fight, and we weren't able to wake him". And "Washio-sensei had died" is more like "The great hero Washio-Sensei was no more" (as in, he's still alive but his reputation as the great unbeatable hero is no more).
But that is much more effort and thought than "Big Tiddy Monster Girl" manga needs to have put into the translation.

I said earlier in the comments that the arc made me lose all interest in the manga.. but after reading this it made me realized how dumb everything is right now LOL


fuck it reminds me of that one other manga where MC is stuck on an island with all his classmates and MC was about to get assaulted by a random girl and then all the other girls on his side got mad at him and gave him the silent treatment for no good reason and it was for some reason up to him to apologize to them all despite everything he has done for his team.

It would make more sense for him to have been hospitalized rather than to have died. There's definitely a translation error.

• The guy hates himself and is surrounded by colleagues and students that do not respect him
• t doesn't make sense why someone as strong as him wouldn't just be able to use his magic to make money elsewhere
• The only ones that respect him are the female cast of students but that came in later and I am sure would follow him to another school
• There is an age gap and a power gap, meaning the author will use it as an excuse to never ever fullfill the romance, I bet is gonna be a "and the journey goes on" type of ending.

The author is really hell bent on making me hate this whole story isn't he?
He made the evil bad guy completely annoying as a storyline, forced it in out of nowhere, knocked the flow of the story completely asunder, did not even finalize his death and instead made ominous remarks that he will guarantee be back to NTR once again, made the girls annoying and definitely not in a cute way. He's overworked, shoved further in the shadows, uncompensated, miserable, and their attitude is to just go "Good luck with being overworked there. But hey I got a cute swimsuit to show off to you later".

That's just annoying. And why does he even have to write apologies anyways? He is quite literally the savior here. And each of the monster girls have incredible authority by the nature of what they are, they have a lot of sway and a lot of power to better his conditions and his situation both physically and politically and all of this just reminds me that ultimately they could've honestly just went "Screw this school, let's go lead a slow life somewhere" from the start and this reinforces it even moreso.

So we don't even have a satisfying resolution and post-resolution for the part of the story where the author completely screwed the story. Greaaaat.
