Whelp, so much for that. Kind of hard to conceal your identity when:
1: You show up out of nowhere just after the evil sorcerer guy is defeated.
2: Have the ear and trust of the King.
3: Threaten all the nobles of the kingdom, and prove that you could kill them at any time.
It's now also not that hard to reason that he's probably the one who killed the evil sorcerer guy.
4: Demolish, rebuild, then move into a mansion in the middle of the city in a weirdly short amount of time (pending/likely)

Sure, you could argue that it's still concealed from the general populace, but Layt just seems way too flashy and forceful to be able to keep his identity secret.
