If we use the analogy of the MC as a chipped Katana, he is getting ready to be reforged into something better. In fact, I think this is more of a foreshadow that he will be reforged by the flames of harem love with each girl adding something to make him better than ever before chapter 2.
Also remember that council prez already said they are engaged in chapter 11 (lol). So everyone else will have to wait their turn.

The only reasoning I'll accept for why bro didn't react in any way to stop the headslam is that Rua's so weak it didn't even register on his spidey-senses as a threat.
Amane seems completely unscathed except for the red mark on her forehead that goes away after two panels so either Amane has a tungsten braincase or Rua's been pampered to the extent that she's weaker than a toddler.

I know the head slam was to show Amane's growth but it could have been done in different way honestly, it just made Suzuki look incompetent. A much better way to to have done it is if Suzuki wasn't around and happened to see it after the fact or maybe far enough to not be able to do something

If someone ran up to you, punched you in the face, and then ran away, you wouldn't say "I was batteried!", but you could say that you were assaulted.
