anyone help me with remembering what this manga i forgotten was called

this dude had a bunch of childhood friends and he says to make a party and he becomes the leader. but as they grow older he becomes the weakest in the party that has eventually become the strongest. i remember him going to this huge gathering which is meant for finding new members and then their is a duel between the apprentice and some random dude and then because the damage was too much to the venue the high up people assign a task to the mc who pushes it to the apprentice
