Contrary to many others, I'm not against Ashito getting wrecked like this. Sure, it can be frustrating for the readers to have him take L's after L's. However, I know that this is where I need to bear with it.
The next one is about Demian's flash back. Again, it can be annoying to read a flashback from a character that not many of us care about, even more so for an overpowered antagonist like Demian. But again, I'd argue that without a flashback, Demian would be an empty husk of OP character that "somehow" plays like prime Messi + R9.
The whole premise of this manga, or rather Fukuda as a coach, is that he wants to make a counter-argument against European football academy that great football can be produced in a healthier environment where football isn't necessarily the only thing in a youth football's life. That football can be enjoyable and not treated as "work" where often it's a matter of life and death.
And we are seeing this now between Esperion and Barca. Two contrasting academy philosophy with similar game style.
I still believe Esperion would lose, maybe for a bit more than 3. However, there will be a consolation goal to indicate that Esperion is not far from Barca. It would likely to be the last and well-crafted goal, composed by Fukuda and executed by almost everyone on the team.
So yeah, let's bear the L's for now. 😭
