i thought of it too, but it just makes no sense to me. bcz from the very beginning, esperion's identity is possession, and their players are trained to play possession football as a result. and even fukada himself said from the start of the match that they'll face head-on with barca on possession. but i won't be surprised if they really abandon possession, regarding their expressions.
Any football heads here know what this is? It kinda reminds me of relationism since Aoi is getting more freedom to work in the pitch thanks to the 3 at the back...

dislike the use of Rindou here. From all perspective he’s punching above his weight, literally playing with guys a year older against heavyweights. Coming out of nowhere, background is a fodder to another subplot. Struggled throughout the match and provide little to 0 to how it progressed.
On the other side, really really exciting chapter. Aoi closing on to his final stage, becoming a monster-like figure on the pitch, nothing but aura. Cant wait to see what Fukuda cooking here on the last chapter of the year

It's not Fukuda cooking, I think it's totally Ashito. When you re-read the chapter before this one with the new translation, it seem that Ashito say to Fukuda that Barça surpassed the imagination of Fukuda but not his because he propose something with "If so, then".

How he play in this chapter seem similar to how he played at the start of the manga, the first chapter of it.
