Just watch the scene.Nice thing about having a specific audience with this manga is you know almost all the readers have watched Terminator 2 and know that scene with the minigun. Even Japanese readers.
It's like she's a kid who has just been given a new toy, generally having fun with whatever she does. And she is mistaken for Maruri because she imitates her clothing and hairstyle very well, which is very funny.Vampire is having SO MUCH FUN with this.
I don't know why... but my mind focused on "car" in page 25 and i noticed the wheels turned in a way that is not possible, BUT... knowing this manga, in my mind, i imagine that simply the axle have a much mroe advanced design than we have nowadays, and it is able to make that 90(?) degrees turn to allow much more maneuverability.
It was also a good bait tactic........ BUT WHY THE EFF THE US MILITARY IGNORANT ON THE FACIAL STRUCTURE OF MARURI?!It's like she's a kid who has just been given a new toy, generally having fun with whatever she does. Just so. The "Hasta la Vista" line was also actually only said by the terminator in T2, so it really is a specific reference to that exact movie, not just the Terminator series. T2's more special than all the others among old school sci-fi nerds, even in Japan. And Ark Performance are old school sci-fi nerds.Just watch the scene.
I thought that she said the line because the soldiers were fighting her, a human-like construct built with technologies more advanced than humanity currently had. A direct reference to the Terminator series. But the precise suppression with the machine gun, blasting the robot with a grenade launcher, and no casualties among the soldiers. The author re-created most things from the movie scene.
I don't think it's any specific one. She has a typical tokusatsu pose and attack like Kamen Rider. But the crest is like something out of super robot like Raideen. I think its just 70s/80s japanese general pop culture reference. But there's tons of shows, I might not remember or simply not know if there is a specific one lol.I am dumb... but that V Flash attack is familiar and I can't pinpoint the reference for it. Probably some old mecha anime in the 80s.... gawd I hate that I can't remember.
that's the thing. I've seen the reference but can't remember which obscure mecha anime it was 'cause I used to watch it on vcrs back on the dayI don't think it's any specific one. The tech exists IRL, at least at the proof-of-concept stageI don't know why... but my mind focused on "car" in page 25 and i noticed the wheels turned in a way that is not possible, BUT... knowing this manga, in my mind, i imagine that simply the axle have a much mroe advanced design than we have nowadays, and it is able to make that 90(?) degrees turn to allow much more maneuverability.
I'll raise you a very close (in-production) example (it's only ~35 degrees, not ~75, but close enough that it's all 4 wheels)The tech exists IRL, at least at the proof-of-concept stage

Indeed knowing AP, they deliberately drew it like that. The tire marks crisscross, which they shouldn't unless it works exactly like how it does in the real-life concept. And the vehicle also stayed pointed in the same direction as before.Vampire is having SO MUCH FUN with this.

Isn't it Mazinger? Sure it's not on the head but close enoughI am dumb... but that V Flash attack is familiar and I can't pinpoint the reference for it. Probably some old mecha anime in the 80s.... gawd I hate that I can't remember.
Do any of you good chaps know who is that woman that is with the president? If i remember correctly she's a battleship mental model
that's a real vehicle, the JLTV is the current 'replacement'* for the Humvee. now as far as i'm aware, it doesn't have all-wheel steeringVampire is having SO MUCH FUN with this.
