I can't say much about how "truthful" the military tactics are here, but the thought behind each action is pretty clear and concise with the situation.
There is a cause and effect, and observational points made that certainly make sense on the basis of the info obtained.
I had in mind the marines in the Hakugei all this time, I was curious if they would act, I had considered that the US military maybe wouldn't know about them, as Kurt and his team kinda "stowed away", but it seems they weren't put in the ship's manifesto or something like that.
You would imagine US info channels know about the marines that had stayed in Japan after the Fog's blockade... but it has been 2 decades, and probably even if anyone has even thought of them, the chance they would think they are in the Hakugei is... I really don't blame anyone if they didn't think of that.
With how resources are, especially for a small nation like Japan, in this setting... the resources to fit Hakugei with ground troops would feel extremely unlikely if not downright stupid... unfortunately for them, some people have taken a "free-spirited" approach to certain things XD.
