Interesting thought; that "brain-washed debuff" mentioned on page 20/26...was that inflicted by magic, or is it the sort of thing that can be acquired non-magically, such as by spending too much time surrounded by yes-men and sycophants?

So what does that "Brainwash debuff" mean? That he currently is brainwashed and that this is a negative buff or that he has been brainwashed a long time and even though the brainwash magic is still activated, he developed an immunity and secretly broke free. -> Hench: debuff. In the 2nd case he would have tried to annihilate any witness, so that the brainwashing aggressor doesn't get to know he broke free.
