It's too rushed.
At this point I understand that transmute can change the shape of material, also can change landscape to some extent, so if you can ambush and trap your opponent then you can kill them no matter how strong they are.
But the story when he running from the wolf is weak, very weak. Even with both hand he can hardly running from that monster, less so with just one hand.
