with CR discontinuing their Online Manga section, does anyone here have an Idea, where this can be read up to date online? (preferably legal).
CR has/had the manga till chapter 152.
Ugh, this story moves about as fast as the I-401. Fuck's sake, it feels like they've been leaving Japan for the last 20 volumes.
Anyway, I started this via an upload on Snahp, finished that and came here to hopefully get to the end of it, but apparently, this has been dropped because of official translation. Don't think I'll bother looking for a different souce, given that I don't enjoy where the story is going.
SPOILER:
Alright, so, apparently everyone is now cool with virtual shipgirls walking and talking. As a result of the girls getting to know humanity, the "Fog" fleet is now split into various factions, fighting each other. But it also turns out that all life on the planet is guided by some alien being? And now they all have to fight each other to decide what's going to happen.
Yea, no, I'm done. Kantai Collection and Azure Lane might have ripped off the general idea of shipgirls of this, but at least those have bit less delusions of grandeur, goddamn. End this garbage already. We get it.
Would have been cool if the MC built a fleet of ship girls. Maybe he does, but I stopped reading years ago. I think Takao tentatively joined the MC but my memory is fuzzy.
I understand the story, maybe because I binge read it. I think the main theme in this series isnt about the war, but more about an AI getting an identity crisis because they gained individuality. Its outside the intent of the third faction though.
I see a lot of cynicism in this thread and understand it; I also read around 30-50 chapters of this in the past and loved the characters and the mystery and the tension and beautiful art, but felt like the developments never quite satisfied me.
But I'll definitely reread this again from the start when it's finished, because I like the heroines a lot and want to see their fates.
