Unfortunately, even if it'd be absolutely fucking hilarious if he got roflstomped and disqualified immediately after buying his way into the competition.

That said, the catharsis factor in the MC doing it themselves is way too appealing to most people.

"You can say that again" means expressing full agreement and even encouragement to what was said, which makes pg11 look kind of funny in context. You might want to use "Try saying that again" or "I dare you to say that again" or something like that instead, considering Giril probably isn't playing backup dancer to his own humiliation. Haven't seen the raws or anything myself, mind you.

In other news, yet again we ignored the use of strong or audience reaching attacks, proving how bad of a narrative asspull the hook for the last mini arc was. The demonology part is kind of entertaining, but along with all the other weirdly flowing stuff, the author really cannot fuck with narrative consistency if it killed him, it seems.

I know I shouldn't expect better from this MC as he currently is, but damn, he really was just gonna watch Dmitri beat his own sister in front of him. There's a point where your protagonist is so much of a loser it's off-putting, and this doesn't seem to be a case of it being done intentionally for a narrative purpose. I guess I'll just toss in the alarmingly large pile of "shit Japanese audiences are distressingly tolerant of because of 'cultural differences'"
