Man the art quality differences between the LN and the manga is really jarring.

Most of the promotional manga adaptation of ln often use newbie/inexperienced artist unless it's a high profile one due to tight budget and ((give new face a chance)) factor but mostly because of it costs less than hiring the more popular artist.

We've become so used to having multiple POVs in a project like this that we tend to be distrustful when we only see what one lead sees. Which is fair in this instance, because the lead is distrustful as well.

She's actually very excited about the engagement, having experienced the cliche loved-him-since-we-were-kids trope. She's been quietly pushing the process along since arranging to join him in HS (approaching him frequently as first-years and stepping things up even moreso once they shared a classroom as second-years). This is fluff. Promise.

Not gonna hate, tons of manga have always the same schemes...but at the same time when you read a first chapter and it feels like "already read" is not a great first impression
