Oh wow, the story is set in modern era? At first I thought it was set in a fictional Victorian age London because of the flashback regarding the dying Lord's wish(FMC's estranged biological father. Then I saw the antique landline phone the Sisters were using in the church, which made me bump the timeline to maybe 1920 or 1930s. And now we see it really is the modern age.
