I don’t think she ever says she lost custody. She says her child was “taken away” and that the life she had built for herself vanished and now she feels hollow. And she seems okay with suicide if her life doesn’t get better in the next year.

No idea what the story may reveal but at this point I don’t think she lost custody.

I mean the story is pretty good even though the MC remind me of the meme of the doom guy. You know the dude who is always depress, always smoking and just want the end of the world.
