Yeah there's a weird kind of divide between who Runa thinks she is VS what she actually feels. She's built herself up as a strong-willed professional (especially with the whole "customers aren't human" thing), but this identity seems to be a barrier she intentionally puts up rather than a core part of her character.

I feel like this arc has a lot of strong parallels to Moe's story. Runa's monologue at the start of Brainwashing 1 about how people get brainwashed feels very similar to Moe's one on rejecting conventional feminine values in Knockin' on Heaven's Door 1 (Chapter 29 Page 22-24 on Mangadex). They both build up a rigid worldview in order to feel better about themselves, but their ideas get challenged and they turn out to be the same as those they looked down upon.
