@Riger I mean, they already did give a pretty good backstory of why that party did so badly in previous chapters.
Unlike the MC, the other people in the party weren't proper representatives of their country. They basically sent one of their C-team members to go on this quest to deal with the demons because they wanted to keep their strongest members to protect their own borders.
