@neo_child there is a plot hole to that because the really strong adventurers, warriors, mages, sages and w.e would be known to other countries especially the king and his aids. People like to prove their strength and people like entertainment, so I imagine they have tournaments. You'd think Dylan's king would say what about x over y because everyone knows how strong x is and no one has heard of y.

@Liquidxlax I doubt that what happened. The other kings opposed dylan's king for bringing a jester to the party. Despite he is the strongest in the country. Either, they have a vendetta against that class or that they don't know he is the best( or both)

@trieuvuhoang

If I remeber correctly Jesters are treated as inferior because they lack the fire power of other class.

Which if its true and my memory is correct, makes it a case of people thinking Jesters are lame, unheroic, a baggage carrier, and/or a meaningless support. Much the same reasons that Dylan was dismissed for, even after all he did.

Wow... this was really inspired by Rising of the Shield Hero, wasn't it?
Just not with as much malicious intent from hubris and ego.

They should just accuse him of rape, harassment, or some random phobic shit. Works in current years.

Wow. The hero party was worse than I expected. The sword hero looks grand in comparison. The priest is scheming while the mage's just a mess.

In order for this to truly be evocative of MD's users, the nun has to attract a horde of slavering, masochistic simps that'd suck her toes even if she ripped the fetus out of a pregnant woman and ate it with fava beans and a nice Chianti.

That aside, she'd better watch out, the Shortstack Squad doesn't play around, and I'm betting Dylan will have powerleveled them by the time she reaches the group.

@wankerLin lol right
That would work charms for them, mc would probably have to give up all his assets and become a slave to country... Ah, I so fucking hate false accusations...

I get the feeling that priest girl is going to be learning who has real power and that she can't try to play that game with kings and not get crushed.

Those "heroes" remind me of the heroes from Tate no yuusha. Boy do I feel sorry for Dylan and the king
No because those at least had the required power or the potential to grow into it, if not all their wits and right mindsets for the job.
A hero sent to save the world and defeat the Demon Lord should be able to make short work of the guards or even elite knights of a kingdom, otherwise they'd have sent said knights on the mission in their stead.
Here the "hero" is completely useless and easily made to grovel just to reinforce a bad writing cliche that makes no sense.

@Siquall she killed a tavern full of people because a drunk mistook her for a prostitute, and you feel bad for her...
There's no reason to think she killed anyone else besides said drunk, since the person on the same table as her survived.
And even if she really did because of the author's stupid writing, I'd still side with her - rule of the strong and all that, remember this isn't the lame modern day world after all. If she were actually strong that is, but the author is also stupidly backing out of that part - despite her supposedly having been strong enough to be sent on a mission against the demon lord, now she's cowering in front of some lousy guards or knights. Why didn't they send those to kill the demon lord then?
The author is just running with the "hero party is useless without mc" trope and making a nonsensical mess out of it.

You're going to assume that a massive explosive spell she unleashed, that was powerful enough to completely demolish the building and create a plume of fire and smoke seen across the capital, is somehow selective enough that the saint from the hero's party and at least 9 other people were selectively ignored?

Notice also the king said "citizens". Plural, meaning more than one.

Nothing in the story suggests "might makes right" is present in the story, you're just making random shit up to side with Aiza.
And ancient societies has had "rule of law", it's not some "lame modern day" invention, see Hammurabi's Code.

If you had actually read this chapter, you'd understand that they were only given the title of "hero" and that the Alliance doesn't actually care about defeating the Demon King.
And it has already been explained (back in chapter 16) that Mills' skill is an instant kill ability. From that you can gather the goal was to get Mills to within range of the Demon King and assassinate him.
The author is just running with the "hero party is useless without mc" trope and making a nonsensical mess out of it.
Or you know, you didn't actually read any of the chapters and comprehend it. Because it sure as hell looks like you didn't.

That doesn't mean they were useless or disposable, even if its just to keep up the pretense they're still supposed to be powerful and more important than a few peasants in a bar fight.
Actually we were even given some numbers (levels) to quantify it, around 30-35 iirc (no, i'm not going back to check the exact number) tho no good reference for what it means yet, besides the fact our fmc1 spent 5 years getting to level 10 but mc was able to powerlevel her to match the "heroes" in a few months. Which matches pretty well with the author's flip flopping between treating Aiza as strong and important in one scene and insignificant in another, now that I think about it, so why was I even surprised...
