Lol, after wisely rereading all the Mai scenes in first half of the manga, this progression felt perfectly natural and not out of place at all.


But really, think about it, would it really be climactic to have sex and ending the series here? After losing all the momentum after the Nanao arc, this is actualy the best development, probably planned quite a while in advance (though perhaps not from the very start), things will get really spicy from now on, after being interupted their next meeting cant be just a regular brothel visit or casual meeting...

think about it, what kinks have we yet to hit in this series? Asumi has to catch them all I believe

I don't know why people complain that they didn't fuck in this chapter.Nanao's chapters were so good, because they had had this build up in their relationship and even a whole chapter dating. Give Mai a chance to conquer Asumi's heart. I want to see her head explode, when she has to choose between Nanao and Mai.

I want her to choose both. There is plenty of room in Asumi's brain to love Mai and Nanao I think. I also think that once Nanao meets Mai, she'll completely understand why Asumi wanted to reconnect with her.

So the premise of the series is now basically fulfilled, barring the catch-up, apology for calling their first kiss "plain", any kind of confessions and tying up loose ends.
Hope the series ends and doesn't drag on and the author ends it strongly and satisfyingly (though, we all know that won't happen - manga with any kind of popularity drag on and on and on instead of having a good, concise ending with proper closure).
