There actually is a physical print that has the color pages of chapter 1 compleatly reproduced in color, just that the digital edition is grayscaled. 『アシュラ』　立風書房

Wow, I never knew the Rippu Shobo version restores them, thank you 😊! I own the Gentosha bunko [and the digital uses the Sun Comics version as its basis], so I wouldn't have known that.

As much as I am sad about the monk dying; I am glad the mangaka gave peace to Asura. I think it's a quite nice ending
