I feel like the story is running into a problem. The daemons are invincible. Asura gets more juiced the more people he sends to the daemons. You either have a repetitive story where antagonist of the week gets no-diffed by Asura until he overloads from the daemonic tattoo, OR you have an antagonist that can actually fight the daemons and then things become Dragonball Z. It needs caution.

there's a clear underlying structure here where he's been steadily working his way up the local crime syndicate, with each successive villain having a more solipistic and alien morality than the last. i think the final boss is gonna be an un karma killable ubermensch whose concepts of good and evil are entirely inverted

I mean, we are still relatively early in the escalation, only dealing with the local gang, and even now we are dealing with the fact that the people around Asura are being targetted. I'd say, it's still to early to call.

tbf, unnaturally large size aside it prolly just seemed like a wild snake to him but i imagine most ppl wouldn't be able to fight back, wonder if he'll come across some kinda 'corrupt' taoist monk or so that'd have techniques but i guess it's kinda hard

i would've expected him to meet other 'keyholders' with their own motivation/criteria for killing ppl versus being a vigilante like him

but idk how long the author intended the story to be, either he'll ascend into godhood/demonhood or maybe he'll wander eternally on earth if not a cop using sleeping gas/drugs or so to contain him, idk if it'd magically pop back into his pocket (if that happened before i don't remember) if someone did successfully steal it

Going to actual hell is fine as a plot point, but i can imagine there being another version of the story where it's all everyone's illusion and they all just ended up in a mental hospital/comatose instead or so
