Hello, current translator of Atagoal Monogatari here, I am actually the same person that was going under the moniker CAT_Scans. I really envy my previous translations of Atagoal Monogatari from 2022, as at that time, I was a teenager and I wanted to translate all four Atagoal manga series and also every manga from Atagoal's mangaka Hiroshi Masumura in around a few years, so I rushed through my translation of Atagoul Monogatari in 3 months valuing quantity over quality, with a good portion of translated text being inaccurate. The reason why the scans were low quality was because the pages were scanned without the book being debined first, and the reason why I didn't use high-quality scans at the time was because I didn't know that they were available.

Later on, after I finished translating the manga in 2022, I deleted the translation from MangaDex, because I was ashamed at how low quality and inaccurate my scans and translation of the manga were, and I didn't want my translation to be the face of the Atagoal manga, especially after someone translated Chapter 1 into Spanish using my translation as a base. It's even a lot sadder to see my translation being used as a blueprint for the Brazilian-Portuguese translation of the manga years later, when that was never the point of my translation, it was not supposed to be seen as a 100% accurate translation, it was supposed to be seen as an inaccurate placeholder translation to be read until someone with more expertise made a better translation to replace it, especially since I know next to no Japanese.

I decided to come back and create a more high-quality scanlation after I saw that no one wanted to translate Atagoal or its mangaka's other manga in the years I was gone. Keep in mind, that even though I'm actually taking my time to translate the chapters, the translation is still not going to be entirely accurate at times due to the fact that I still don't know how to read or speak Japanese.

thanks for sharing . It's all good bro. It's your project so I think you should be in full control of the upload, editing and stuff. This way you can always go back to fix/adjust things yourself on even the second version this time around.

I haven't read it yet but I have friends who are fans of the series. I'll forward your respond to them.
