I would argue it's not mysogony as much as the author just abuses their characters.

The MC is often not treated well either nor ever sticks up for themselves and pretty much forgets any abuse that happens towards them....

A money lender, predatory or not, obviously wants their money back with interest (that would be their profit motive for operating this business), or they wouldn't lend money to anybody and taking on that risk when they can just go do something else.

If you do lend out money, predatory or not, and the borrower don't pay back (as every scammer knows how to do). Of course nobody expects you to just take the loss, else everybody would just keep their money and never lend it to anyone who might need it, because they won't pay it back and lender take the loss. Credit wouldn't exist as a concept in that society.

So if the borrower don't pay their rightfully owed money back to the lender, selling them to brothel or whatever is entirely driven by the fact that so they can make money to pay it back. If they win the lottery on the way to the brothel and pay their debt back in full. What is the beef?

If you still want to send a person who already paid back their owed amount with interest, to the brothel. Then you might as well grab anybody off the street who also doesn't owe you anything and send them to the brothel right? Then you're not even in a predatory lending business and is just a trafficker.
