So, is there going to be a black market for anime in Australia now? Like, someone goes up to a dealer in a trench coat, and is like

Buyer: yo, you got the stuff?

Dealer: Yeah, I got the stuff. I got some Sword Art Online, Goblin Slayer, Ero Manga Sensei. Watcha look'n for?

Buyer: Lemme see that Ero Manga Sensei.

Buyer: yeah, this is the stuff. I'll take it!

Dealer: Excellent! That'l be $1,409

As with other controversies, both sides of this particular one are so clearly positioned in their stances as to leave clear there is no hope for a debate. Also both sides bring the same fucking points over and over and over and over and over and over again. Truly a hive mind.
In the meantime, we will ban Sword Art Online, if only to confirm us for the billionth time that we, indeed, are slowly but steadily reenacting 1984 and A Brave New World both at the same time.

The cost of Manga was already prohibitively expensive here so you really needed to be a dedicated ultra-weeb to even consider buying physical from a brick and mortar store. I'll continue to buy online/digital like I always have.

I might or might not post a thread about this rumored alliance between these morons of stupidity in the future. I need to wait for more evidence cause I'm not fully convinced, but we might finally have the names of some of the assholes 'activists' responsible for this systematic censorship from the past 4 months who are working with this Australian nutcase.

Even watching on 2x speed this youtuber is unbearable, 4 minutes just to get to the point of the video 😔

tl;dw: Australian twitter harpy Connie Bonaros works with a Japanese activist/lobbyist Kazuko Ito, aka news from February 2020

@Greenfrost I'd bet all my fucking money they are nothing more than the useful idiots. Some way or another freedom of speech must be abolished anyway. Even though this one case may seem of little importance in the bigger scene.
@Halo man, saying a video is unbearable because it takes 4 minutes to get to the point is a new level of short-span attention even I wasn't aware of (cool Ontan pic, btw).

Or maybe it's just a garbage video when it takes less time to google a news article, read it and end up knowing more about the issue?

Well, the western world's stupid and that 'moronization' (if you will) had been a process in making for more than four decades now. Just wondering when it'll get to the United States in its legislative form* (because right now its dangers mostly come down to - if you ignore real life consequences like for example losing an income source because of becoming a 'PR liability' due to having a contrarian opinion on an arbitrarily chosen subject - shooing, booing and ostracization, ie they stay in social domain - you won't get thrown in jail for saying or liking the wrong thing (as regular normalfag joe shmoe anyway ; you may still get killed for those in some really extreme cases unfortunately).

Topically my first encounter with this cultural 'puritanization' happened in early 2010s when tv tropes decided to scrub off from their database some of the manga entries for allegedly 'promoting and normalizing pedophilia' ('Kodomo no Jikan' and 'Lotte no Omocha' among others).

They don't seem to be having problems with other types of trully 'problematic' content, like 'Canibal Holocaust' for example though.

*let's face it, australia - despite being a part of broadly defined 'anglosphere' - has been something of a special needs kid for a while now ; was it december when their government tried to ban cash transaction for 'larger than x sums of money'? (and you know it would had not stopped there and eventually devolved into fully cashless society if the initiative had suceeded)

Kind of already is. It was just too niche for twitter loonies to screech about, compared to video games.

As expected, in reaction to a government doing exactly what they should all do, a bunch of deranged creeps are talking as if they are the new normal. The idiocracy and moronization is happening in these forums and every other place where a bunch of creeps try to pretend that mangakas and other people who work in the entertainment industry aren't dangerous psychos. Let's face it: if you are guilty you aren't going to talk in a sensible way about decisions that endanger the problem you are a part of.
Hopefully more governments and ordinary people will start to put a stop to the deranged fantasies that those who have made the entertainment industry their safe haven can't help reproduce for mass-production.

You know, I've preffered you when you were droning on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on about misogynist hair colors or something and everyone ignored you.

Attention: person above is mentally ill and should not be taken seriously. The upper paragraph is not a joke, you can google her posts and see they're always about the same thing.

@Halo On the posted pic:
Even looking at pictures posted online could potentially get you thrown in prison.
What the actual fuck? What about people who just stumble across that kind of stuff online? Yes, you can control which sites you frequent, but you can't control what other people post on any and every site you browse.

@nonameanonymous82435
misogyny and hair colors.
Note to everyone: person above is mentally ill and should not be taken seriously.
Fucking lel. Ty for the heads up, the post above was riding the line between bait and plausibility, so I wasn't sure which it was.

However, I do find interest in differing opinions. So, @Pachka84 , if you'd care to elaborate on why "mangakas and other people who work in the entertainment industry [are] dangerous psychos", I would be willing to hear your stance.

To be perfectly honest, I'm kind of surprised that this whole campaign against (even slightly) sexualizing lolis hasn't been shot down (yet) by the Epstein gang and its cronies, as that crowd would love to normalize pedophilia.

That's what you get for being a degenerate lolicon.

All hail Onee-san.
