Really need to suspend your disbelief that Hiroko is supposedly a Social Butterfly and Raging Lesbian yet she has stonewalled Ayaka for over a year, even though she made it clear since the beginning that she was interested in Hiroko…

Yes, not wanting to be outed is a valid reason but we know that the main motivation for her not flirting with Ayaka back is for thinking she might be straight, which at that point it’s ridiculous.
Its getting pretty hard to believe in any way that Hiroko is the "lesbian for the ages" that her bar friends talk her up to be, because at this point she's proved beyond a doubt that she's incapable of handling a woman. There is no way the Hiroko from chapter two, shown to be running through a blizzard in her undergarments, clutching some woman's bra as she makes her way to at least 2 more hookups, is the same character as this completely useless pile of fuck. And yeah, she knows Ayaka isn't straight either, and her excuse is ridiculously paper-thin. Seriously, Ayaka already knows its a lie and the barest investigation of asking literally anyone at that bar would prove it was a lie if she wasn't aware. Add to that how explicitly attracted Hiroko is or was, as you mentioned, and I think something is just not adding up.

She’s canonically bad at it.
If you ask everyone, you’re bound to get a yes or two.
that’s shown

While I mostly agree, in the defense of the story, she was only called a womanizer because she tries picking up any girl around, not that she’s particularly successful at it.
Hell, the only time we were shown her flirting, she got completely rejected for being a cocky drunk.

I think they’re using it right. It’s being used to describe the group of new hires in this instance.
I've been speaking English for 40+ years, and have never seen nor heard someone use "cohort" in this context. It's always "colleagues" or "co-workers". You do you, but just know that it's jarring & sounds unnatural.

Can anyone tell me why the Saruta stuff made the project data folder was missing?

as a young worker myself, few things are more annoying than the LGB-T+ people who do nothing but sit around and the second they get called out fall back on the "I'm a minority, you cant touch me" before whining to the blue haired man in a dress at HR and getting one of the three out of thirty people doing something fired and that creates prejudice against further interactions for both people working who are part of those groups and normal people...your sexuality and gender DO NOT belong in work, only how well you can adapt to the workload

The word “cohort” has negative connotations.
I can see it being used ironically I suppose?

I was honestly somewhat confused about that as well, but it looks like she (presumably accidentally) dragged the folder over into a different directory related to trainee learning materials, with "Saruta Stuff" being the project folder in question (I'd be guessing Saruta is the name of the client for the project?).
And since the entire system had just received an update, which none of her colleagues were used to operating yet, they had trouble navigating it and retracing where the folder might have gone.
