Eh, I read all romance between all sexes, and this bs is in nearly every romance manga. Romance series continue through the power of dense protagonists and/or love interests. There are exceptions but it usually take most of the story and then ends as soon as they hook up. Stories not focused on romance that have romance tend to have the love story sped up and not the main focus.
