When stories are afraid of committing to anything so theres no consequences.
Why even bait that matsuri has to destroy his male part to defeat the big bad if you obviously aren't going to go through with it cause all the hetero ship people would throw a fit?
This is embarrassing at least wait a few chapters before she uses her magic bullshit powers to reverse it.
This is supposed to be the fight against the big bad and its going to have zero consequences for anybody involved.

What I love more is when they made it so the poison ejaculate, possibly THE most difficult to administer in order to kill someone was their first option to take down Suzu, but once that failed they fall back to typical physical attacks that has worked since dawn of time.

How about just show up when she's vulnerable sleeping or at the bathroom and just suprise attack her before anybody can react?
