I sort of wonder why the teachers haven't called child protective services.
One thing that seems to be shared across basically all of the manga/anime, is that law enforcement of any sort is nonexistent, unless it's to get in the way of protagonist(s).
Same goes for any kind of possible external help, that could aid with solving problems.

In many countries, among them Japan, making a fuss that involves law enforcement is heavily frowned upon because "you'd be bothering the community". It doesn't matter if raising hell is the right thing to do or the only solution left. And it doesn't matter if you were right and the community is better off for what you did, you'll be singled out for "disturbing the peace".

Teachers, specially those in private schools, have an additional pressure from the school's direction: the school's prestige. They'll cover up anything bad, like bullying, because the school would lose face, or the direction would fire them if they refuse or rebel. Recently in my country a girl threw herself off a cliff exactly because of this and if was discovered the school's cover up during the police's investigation.

You can't embarrass the family, you know.

I don't know man, sounds pretty realistic to me that teachers aren't doing anything toward a children that is clearly being abused or bullied

At least mine never do anything to help me
oh my you know what? My parent made me kneel on rock for hour after I got gang up by bullies
I lost trust in adult even after I turn 19.

Also because it doesn't really help sometimes...
If you're a kid, that'd just end up either jailing or breaking up a family... or WORSE, it doesn't stop, and the parents end up lashing even MORE at their kids... and that is so, so, so much worse. Enough that if I was a kid in that situation, I'd be wearing long sleeves and so on to hide the bruises and scars myself.

Not to mention if you're in that situation, you want to try and hide it from your classmates and pretend to be normal. Since at this point, the only thing worse is to be ostracized and hated at school too, not just at home.
