I like that this manga has a habit of skipping pointless filler. First the duchess and the duke actually communicating instead of hoping the other would just magically know their thoughts for 20 chapters and now this.

Like, this is a consistent thing I've noticed, every author does it, its like a hivemind

you simply have to accept that most manga and manwha fall into the mass produced area of entertainment. which doesn't mean the quality is always terrible, but a story thats written on the go because they want to be able to extend it as long as possible to maximize profit will obviously never reach the quality of a tightly constructed story with pre-planed pacing and developments.

a lot of manwha and manga are also adaptions of webnovels by hobby/amateur authors, who may simply lack the experience to craft a story better.

But I agree, sometimes its just super annoying to read characters behaving in the most brain dead way possible.

Deus ex rockina, I to am glad they found a way to skip to the chase even if it is a little bonkers. At this point if the king tries to execute her the castle is probably going to come alive and crush him. 🤞
