Frankly, if the CHIEF OF INTELLIGENCE is dumb enough to have a top secret internal assassination plan for their head of state in his office desk and it's not been planted there, he should be removed for incompetence or idiocy, because he sure isn't showing any signs of intelligence.

@Robbini I know, right? The moment a whole document about a detailed assassination plan was found in the office desk I became incredibly skeptical. Had it been a different manga author, I might've simply assumed that it was bad writing, but this is Carlo Zen. This guy shouldn't make dumb shit like that. So that made me believe in a setup.

@Sancturil @Robbini

It still works as a honeypot trap either way. If someone brings it up, it would be blatantly obvious that there is a security hole. Leave a plausible plan out so that anyone snooping around would be satisfied and end their search, protecting the real one. As long as there's insufficient evidence you can probably deny everything. Worst case you could claim it was one of many false flag operation that got shelved.

It would be like leaving a bunch of "Homework" folders around your hard drive and burying the very questionable stuff elsewhere.

@EOTFOFYL

They don't really need to bring it up. Just imagine if... the cleaner found it, and then maybe blackmailed them, handed it over to journalists or made it public?

Janitor blackmailing the Chief of Intelligence? how bold.

Denial route if leaked, cleaner dies either way. Then assassination or character assassination on the journalist to guarantee silence. Depending on how strong information control is you can just cut the flower before it blooms. Not the digital era so copies will be rare, in that case a massive firestorm will destroy it all.

The final solution would be an escape route. Take as many sensitive intel as possible and apply for asylum or go underground and off the grid. You are the Chief of Intelligence so blackmail your way to safety if needs be.

I find it way better written than Youjo Senki. Might be me but I really can't appreciate YS for some reason.

I like it in another way then Youjo Senki, but I still enjoy it. Although this solution was kinda dumb, hope the rest would be a little more intelligent.
Oh yeah in my desk, not even hidden, I will have a document titled My Evil Plan who would be a such a moron?

It's starting out a bit slow but this series is shaping up to be quite good.

@ShinGetsu It shows that the author has improved, the little girl design in YS also gets old very fast. More mature female characters please.

I'm always happy to be wrong when I make guesses like the two about the chief from the previous chapter.
