Wonderful to finally read this in good quality, thanks for all your work! I can appreciate the ending more, now.
...with that said, I still don't really like how it all came down to the make-believe mime crap. And Yujiro giving Baki his title of "strongest" feels hollow, since Baki acknowledges that Yujiro won. I like all the stuff about their father-son relationship, and I get that it stops being about who "beats" the other anymore. The animosity is gone, they accept each other, that's all good! but idk, we already had a scene where they ate together, and this just felt like an imitation of that. And the idea that anyone else would give a shit about their air-cooking is ridiculous.
If I was writing, I would skip the cooking, just have Baki's "killing intent" make Yujiro turn around (air kick, whatever, sure). Then reverse it: Yujiro admits defeat to Baki, in a "I know you won't give up, and I don't want to have to kill you, so I'll surrender to end the fight" sort of way. But he goes on to say "...but I'm still keeping the title of 'Strongest'. You'll have to try again to take it from me!" and Baki thinks "you idiot, you know I don't care about that anymore..." but says that he can't accept the win, and that they need a rematch. Maybe the nuance of my fan-fiction ending is too slight for anyone else to care, but. It would make a big difference to me.
anyway, thanks again for the great scanlation! Baki deserves this level of quality. You da best.
