Jack got a new set of teeth and disabled sukune from use any of his big moves, barely won, beats a bunch of nobodies and somehow thought he nearing baki and yujiro's level. No wonder yujiro was laughing his ass off, baki probably would've did the same

Nobody's hyped for anything past the first half of Musashi-dou, you gotta let it go
Literally the only 1 of 2 good parts of Jobbers Dou (2018) was seeing Jack beat up Jobber King Sukune and showing off his Evolution post-fight with Motobe. That and Olivia beating Jobber no Sukune The 2nd the fuck up without limits.

This "jobber" thing is just from the baki fandom right? I've never seen it in other places (not that I did research). It's funny as hell tho.
It's a wrestling term for characters set up solely to fail.
It's been adopted by martial arts manga readers for characters that just lost, rather than solely existed to lose. An example of an actual manga jobber is Nezu in Kengan Ashura, he only existed to lose to Rei to show how fast he is.
People think the sumo characters are jobbers because they racked up a lot of losses, despite the fact they have more to them than the fact they lost. They weren't just there to lose, so they're not actually jobbers.

Baki Dou (2018[Lb Jobbers]) was straight ass. Complete letdown compared to Baki Dou with the Miyamoto Musashi Arc. If you legitimately thought it was good; ya got shit taste cause everyone in the post-chapters comments fucking hated it.
I don't see why something has to top the previous entry in order to be good. I don't think it's a letdown compared to Musashi at all, calling it bad just seems like conflating your opinion with the quality of something. It's fine if you didn't like it, but calling it straight up bad is a disservice. It's a great part, especially if you're already a fan of sumo. It has a lot of memorable moments and fun moments, which is all I can ask for from Baki post father-son fight. Also using the comments here is too small a sample, because people over in our discord server adore sumo dou. It's a very divisive part, and that's fine, I just don't like calling something bad rather than just saying you don't like it. It's the same thing people who dislike Itagaki's art do; saying something is bad just because it's not their thing.

Thank you very much, I was discussing this with a friend the other day and he didn't know what it meant either. You have at least a thoughtful taste, of not just good taste 😂
