One of the best manga I've ever read... The story is somethong anyone could write. But the characters? The Greatest. I recommend rereading while listening to music you think fits it. Makes the experience even better. I listen to Old Yellow Bricks and Teddy Picker by the Arctic Monkeys. Again, awesome manga.

Still my favorite Obata series. Re-reading it again has basically solidified it even though some of the arcs (specifically the 2nd Nanamine arc) was kinda meh but in terms of consistency and growing the characters it really felt like such a genuine character story of a couple of kids working their asses off and dealing with pain and hardship to make it in the end. If only Platinum End was as good as some of the manga ideas Ohba came up with for Bakuman it probably would be a lot better of a series.

You know at first i thought that it was really odd that Miho and Mashiro were only communicating through messages was sure that it would not work but seeing it now as it is... I am really glad it happend this way.

I did not like most of the editors at first but after a while they have grown to my heart... except that one for the shut-in.

Also Team Fukada for the win minus Nakai. He is just horrible.

great series. i would say its perfect but it was really bogged down by the nanamine arcs, the miura gag arc, and shizuka being set up and forgotten instantly.

yeah they didnt do anything interesting with nanamine and miura, but regardless this is one of my favorite series now
