Isn't likes/thumbs up in YT videos still have some weight in how popular you are in the platform? Views don't really do much except generate some money from ad sense from what I'm aware of.

Never forget google removed the thumbs down counter on videos a few years ago. You have to be the content creator, google or get an extension to view it.

I still don't understand why the MC doesn't admit that he was absolute ass at drumming and that's why he got kicked. What did he wanted the other band mates to do? They can't stop an album production to have the guy take drumming classes or some shit.

The extension is fundamentally wrong because it doesn't actually show downvotes but an estimation.

The main issue he has is the abruptness to be fair. Being fired from any job or commitment with no notice or warning is shitty. He was an average player sure but they knew that for a while and just used him, its more of a morals thing than him being arrogant or conceited. Though I do admit he’s too pushy.

First...?
This is already the sixth chapter. You should start from the first one.

He admitted it immediately, that he's not good enough. He knows it. He doesn't suck, he's just not that good, with little further potential. The thing with the band, he did spend a decade to create and develop the band with the other members, but it was suddenly taken all away from him. You'd need to have the emotional capacity of a fish not to be pissed off and depressed after that.

What would you have him do? Not play drums at all in his second life? He might not be the most talented, but he did enjoy it and wants to keep doing it, despite knowing his limits. Furthermore, he wants to change Shigure's future as well. She'll be dead in 10 years otherwise.

And?
He already admitted he is not good enough, but the parting could also been handled better by the other band member, talk with him privately first instead of breaking it in front of him when they are about to make a pro debut.

If he don't want to help his old band member, its understandable, he is bitter yes, but he also didn't need to help them this time around. I think he is well within his right to do that.

Also this is not really a payback/revenge story.
