Wow, her backstory moved me a bit there. I think the author conveyed it pretty well with just a two panel flashback. Never seen a "caretaker at an abusive organization becomes a villain to repent at failure to stop the abuse". Seems like an interesting storyline. Especially if the character is an old woman bent on retribution.

I'm not sure about this fight. While it was smart to use the baby against the woman, it felt a bit contrived that the woman openly complied with Tatara's request without any suspicion.

now that I think about it the 10 times weaker thing on the copy ability to apply on recoil too made sense as the 5 times also means 5 times on ALL attibutes and not juste brute strenght

@Ominous you're totally right, but's because Ringo is a weak character and the author realized that and wants to try and make her stand out. That's also probably why she never used her ability before, so that he could change it from a '1/10th strength' to '1/10th everything' and just say she was wrong because she never used it. Even the way she won is total BS, they did not fire their canons near where she placed the child and Mii gunner straight up said Behind this boulder" so she should've easily been able to see the boulder. Ringo only won because she was fighting someone dumber than 5x girl.

@WillLi. My guess is that it's like how Ringo said. Momoko wasn't focusing on her surroundings, but Ringo realized that with their surroundings changed, it wouldn't be implausible to fool Momoko into thinking the baby was shot when a new boulder was created. Something. Exploit parental guilt. Something. I don't even know. But yeah, I was also wondering how Ringo even won that in the first place. While I think it's interesting that the author flipped the script and showed that Ringo was willing to use the baby as the enemy's weakness, it's still just so easy how Ringo turned the tables from defeat to winning. Of course, she wasn't betting the whole fight on that one final exchange, not until she was defeated, but yeah.

@Ominous I think it really might have been a case of the author writing themselves into a hole. They came to a situation where they made Ringo totally unfamiliar with her power, but had to win the fight. So they have to come up with some way for her to win not directly related to her power, but they already 'wasted' a chapter revealing the truth of her power and spending too many chapters would ruin pacing.
