HORRIBLE. The whole story could be told in 10 chapter. Instead, 119 chapters of stupid people and their stupid past.
A whole volume of a whore masturbating. 2 volumes just for a guy to die. The only decent character, the machine gun villain, is immortal, can fly, float in the air, get shot by a bazooka and keeps backflipping and the worst part of all: everybody apparently is bendy with back problems. I can't stand flamboyant mangas like this and helsing. There's even naruto powers like ninjutsu in this crap. Fuck off LOL
And let's not even begin with all the stupid hacking and that collar being removed with just a screwdriver.

You can cut off 30 chapter of this just by removing all the "daddy girl" "clutch shot" "poking kitty" "pizza face" "froggy" "I'm not playing" lines. You can cut off 50 more chapters if this just by removing all the stupid philosophy and feelings moments.

Read this when I was just a teen and I in some ways was disappointed in the movie because I read the manga before watching the movie.
I know the movie probably is more novel accurate but it's awfully lacks background story of each characters, characters just... Dies, like bunch of flies.
At the very least in the manga I have some sympathy and attachment to each characters (Evil or not) because of the interesting amount of backstory they provided. Granted some parts are very draggy but hey, that's why I like the manga more, back then and now.

That’s the problem with movies. Too short for a good adaptation vs a TV series. Movies tend to have more of a budget but a tv series has more time to adapt a story.

Came back to this after Alice in Borderland S3 lmao, this is indeed still one of my favorite manga of all time.
I do noticed that people didn't like the draggy storyline like how many chapters it took for a character to die/to explain the backstory but that's why I truly love the manga much more than the film, I actually have an attachment to these characters like... Damn, I shouldn't be but I do.
I truly sympathize with Takako, Miura, Sugi or even Mitsuko. That's how crazy the writing on this manga is.
But man, Takako and Sugi's storyline really hurts even to this day.
And I hope that this got a TV series remake or better, an anime. This is the reason why PUBG could exist. And apparently, there's a new BR manga too, just read it and it's not bad actually, at least it's better than Blitz Royale.
