@Doomroar a highschool girl fighting crime syndicates itself is as shonen as it gets. There's no point complaining about the premise itself or how the protagonist acquires ridiculous power, as long as the method that thwarts the antagonist viable in-universe.

@tblst the problem with guts power is that, it is not a skill, is not a technique, is not really a special power, is just guts technically everyone should have them in battle manga, big guts makes the gutsy character look great, but it also makes every other character look like trash, because they just don't have the guts.

Gust power only works when it comes to play and once the battle is over, you get to say: "oh but if X or Y character had fought, they would have won too, they are also gutsy."

With Tetsuma however you don't get to say that, he requires a special kind of guts, a kind of guts that no one else has, and that makes everyone else look like trash, name em they trash now, gutless all of them.

BJ doesn't know she lost to Tetsuma before remember? I think he is just making the logical conclusion that she will lose because her attacks are having no effect, Tetsuma finally got the timing of his counters down and managed to break her ribs.

I wouldn't be mad if the author pulls some Deus Ex machina out of his ass rn because Tetsuma is too OP. Man is literally made of iron at this point, has the instincts of a God of War and hits like a truck. I also don't wanna see Ichi's father lose another body part so pls make her win lol
