@Solipsist Definitely. It might seem stupid to you, but to me it's a strong way to compare Riz and Legosi. Riz likes to think he is stronger and has a stronger bond with a friend he killed and ate. While in comparison Legosi's friend voluntarily gave his foot and he gained power. It's just a way of showing how much stronger Legosi's bond is. It isn't really about the physical fight at that point, and if all you see is that he gave up his foot and Legosi "got stronger" you're missing the point. The physical fight is nothing but a way of visualizing this difference.

Jesus christ, I want to clarify that I was roughly about 13 when I made this comment now that I see it again. This is only important because I genuinely didnt know the r-word was considered a slur. I was looking through my reactions and saw this comment and was taken aback, jesus. Other than that I might not agree with my anger but I generally agree with my point. Fights being a narrative point rather than a point of just literally being a fight is the most common narrative device in all of manga. And not being able to see when it is employed requires you to have missed the point of like 99% of all other manga as well. Please forgive my younger self for being such an ass though.
