I hope paru returns to focusing on the character's relationships and personal development. Although i somewhat enjoy the fighting its the slice of life aspects that make this series so sublime.

@GardeIV it's not my fault Itagaki Paru writes better male characters than female! Juno and Louis is too cute to break up, which leaves the lamb OL and she doesn't have the chemistry :(

Even the asshole alpaca is better than Haru

Like, yeah fujo but my point is Haru SUCKS

I felt so smart for noticing Legosi's tail in the last page and was ready to comment about it, then on the next panel they pointed it out

I've loved this manga from the start to now, but I hate to admit it, seeing the flashbacks to school life just remind me of how much better the beginning of this manga was then it is now. The slice of life elements before there were ever fight scenes were just sublime. Now it's still enjoyable, but it's in more of a "this is a silly battle manga with really good art" way then a "this is a truly fantastic story about fantastic characters" way.

Haru has animal eyes and all the other characters have expressive eyes. Whyyy it's like a furry screwing hello Kitty, it just looks off even though technically it isn't

@esaiji hell yes to Kyuu!

I mean heres the thing @Stevethebarbarian , while yes the combat part does infact take action, there are still slice of life moments, its just that they are now taking place in the real world, aka not in school. Remember Sebun? Remember the place at which Legoshi lives in, which "close to the Black Market". Remember Louis and what he did? Remember Gosha's past? Remember the talks which Gosha and Yahya had, also Legoshi? Remember Legoshi's mo- you get what i mean. The slice of life is there, its just that its in a different uhhh.... cycle i guess. Its just that Legoshi wants to grow, and thats how he got himself in that mess. I mean ffs, the title is litteraly "Beastars", and lets not forget what a Beastars means.......

Ngl doe i too kinda miss the school parts lmao

I really like Melon as an antagonist. He's psycho, and kind of a dick, but he knows his shit and has charisma, not to mention he also comes across as even more threatening than Riz because of how unpredictable he is.
Also despite everything, in his own wierd way, even from the start I think he genuinely liked Legosi.

That being said, for a series that usually seems at least (barring the odd moment) somewhat grounded in a sense of realism, these last couple of chapters with the random quiz of death led by tiny executioners seemed to come out of nowhere, and felt kind of jarring tone wise.
