Of course not :D This gray wolf is a total pushover, he hasn't even decided whether or not to pursue the rabbit. I doubt he'll even understand about them and even if he did, he's the type of guy that'll just go "oh, well". He already knows she has slept around with many other animals.

This might not be the case later on if he confirms his feelings for her and starts seeing her as his girl, but for now it's like that.

I didn't expect Red Deer on Rabbit action but can't really complain...(?)
Not in a "Oh god fuck yeah i'm into this" manner, more of a "I should've expected this tbh,why am I surprised".

Bruh, this shocked me. When I first saw them together I had a lot of questions, like omfg, even they're a thing?? -and also why Louis, the prideful deer, would associate with her when she apparently has a bad rep. I'm so happy with how its dealt with; their relationship feels very genuine despite how clearly shallow it is in some obvious aspects, and tbh I like her character a little more now too. Loneliness is obviously not her only reason for being with many of the guys, but loneliness being deadly to her species does bring some context for her behavior. And not to mention another highlight on how painfully honest ( and kind!) she can be.

Tbh, I just love the way this author writes these kinds of scenarios. I don't even mind how dense Legosi is since it just feels a little natural for such an awkward guy who never had a crush to struggle coming to terms with his feelings, and it's really nice to see that Louis has someone who he doesn't always keep a facade with. I'm just really excited for this manga, it's really got me captivated.

I feared for the moment Legosi will find out about Haru and Louis's affair. I predict Legosi will catch his first body. . . .

The more I think about it, the more holes I start to find in the notion of an anthromorphic zoo society.
And I know that people like to portray these things so close to human society in some ways, yet drastically different in others... but it just doesn't add up...

... Like the fact that the shape of a deer's genitals and the shape of a rabbit's are so completely different that they couldn't meaningfully fuck. And it isn't even that extreme compared to a lot of other animals. Genitals having weird and wacky lock-and-key type designs to avoid this kind of interspecies hanky-panky is an actual real thing... though in reality there is basically no chance of a stag ever trying to fuck a rabbit (not least because his penis would be longer than her entire body).

Actually though, what I was getting at is how the hell a mixed society where one half has literally evolved to predate upon the other half could ever have come about in the first place... And why, if the carnivores (including obligate carnivores) have somehow been changed to omnivory or even ovivory at the very most for potentially generations, they would have any sort of predatory instincts left at all.

It just doesn't add up.

Besides... it is kinda obvious the whole predation thing is being used as a rape metaphor.

All I can think of is while reading the chapter, was: "How the FUCK did the deer put on that shirt!?"

@SotiCoto
Just wanted to say I appreciate yer comments. I wasn't thinking much about the setting in that direction, because I figured it doesn't make literal sense for most of it. Humanity warred incessantly not just because the color of one's skin, but also because one group of exact race of people, lived somewhere else than another. Us vs Them mentality doesn't require much, and a society of literally different species, in particular ones that predate upon the others, is just inconceivable. That being said, It's a good thing, then, that the story doesn't try very hard to explore the setting (at least not at this point), and instead tries to explore the personal consequences of "mixing with people you don't fit with". Or as you put it, "rape metaphors", albeit I don't really take it there.

Damn, now I want to know what Bambi is about in this world.
Maybe:
A lone "child" alone in the woods after his mother dies in an accident while camping. Not knowing the area he is lost, only to be found by the kind locals and befriends a bunny and a skunk. Learning to live and enjoy his new life he is still alone, and no one real l y to care for him. Time passes and his father comes out of the woods into the small wood village, to find his son safe and sound. Thanking everyone there for thier kindness they both head back out and head home.

awww Louis is really starting to grow on me and his relationship with Haru seemed to start off pretty genuine. so there's no inter-species relationships in the adult world? i guess that's why we haven't been seeing half-cat half-dog animals walking around
