Well, two things. Probably not even a child so much as just a girl/woman of some age in the teens or twenties, as it's most likely a reference to the horrendous amounts of molestation cases on trains in the actual real world Japan. That, and the other thing is that the whole setting is built around a society of "wants to eat" and "doesn't want to be eaten." We were getting pretty dark from the start, weren't we?Anybody else notice the poster on page 11 of a child crying and the words "Molesting is a Crime"?
