I'm really glad they're showing his character through other's eyes and how Chloe/Beatrice is getting this info too. Give us more. First-hand experiences as well for Chloe! Let's not go the route of love yet though. Let's wait until he's a well-deserving ML.
I honestly don't get the 'he's bad because he killed her family'. Was he supposed to let them go despite it being his job to kill them? If he could've been lenient without endangering the 'greater good' they were aiming for, then sure. I'd say he's pretty fowl for not going that route but honestly, whenever there's a political structure like this, death is inevitable. (I'm always for mind games instead of complete violence.) It's unfortunate that the MC and ML's fate crosses first to be like this but they wouldn't have otherwise met without this scenario (presumably). I WOULD rather have an ML that wasn't at all like this but then we wouldn't be reading the story of Beatrice now would we?
How the author will manage to 'redeem' the ML is what I'm most curious to see. As long as I don't see something like how Ebony has turned out, I'll stay tuned to the story.
(But also, let's stop saying he's handsome Chloe. He is, despite what I have previously said, a killer.)
