I know they're endgame, but I just don't like it. The FL is nice and sweet, and I like her, but she is just way too naïve. How could you be oohing and aahing over a man that destroyed your kingdom, would've had you murdered, and sold you into slavery? No amount of water cups and nice words would make me forget that.

I have no problems with the amount of violence, and the actions of the Archduke in this. It's very much period appropriate. However, I do have issues with how Chloe responds to this. A slave is a slave. Just because your master treats you decently, that doesn't mean you won't be kicked to curb when your worth is gone. I'm just not a fan of the romance progression.

Reading this story is actually painful, and the plot is so empty and badly written that it makes me want to stop reading it but somehow I can't. This story would be so much better if the fl didn't act as if he was prince charming and did't make her a slave again. Anyways... I guess I'll continue reading this as I have too much free time
