@Kyonne It also had better taste better than gold because gold probably tastes like crap.

This is great. I don't know if the progress we see will result in the two of them together in the end, but I don't mind reading about just their daily lives. This manga really soothes my soul regardless

All the people complaining about the progress aren’t noticing the subtleties. The progression is mostly about their emotions. We have Yakumo becoming more and more smitten with Yamato and seeing him as more of a man and Yamato getting better at accepting the lows as well as the highs.

I might be bias since I like slow burns and this has my 2nd favorite character archetype in a glasses wearing older lady but this is quite a realistic portrayal of how most people catch feelings. It’s a slow process that a lot of times you don’t even realize is happening, much like right here.

So yes the physical progression is slow, but we’re seeing them fall deeper and deeper into the others heart every chapter. Which in my opinion means a lot more than if they were getting more physical or if everything was surface level.

I like that she's falling for him, but the one thing that to be is the biggest hurdle that considering this is a comedy probably won't cover is the fact that she still compares him to her dead husband.
The love starts like that, she gets glimpses of him similar to her husband otherwise the relationship wont even start.

Also im sure yakumo will be alright with marrying him at the age of 34 (he will be graduated from college, age 22) but i guess they ll rush the story bc 3/2s of the story already finished at the first year and there are 5 more years to what im saying (i hope it wont end at, i love you at age 18 with just that and this long of a story will feel so uncompleted. And lastly the reason why i think yakumo will be ok with this is, she was the same when she was 18 year old at college she met her soon to be husband and they didnt give his age but he was a college professor so there were at least 7 years diff and maybe even more.

I think so too, but i feel like they will rush it to the college graduation to marriage otherwise this much build up wont make sense. I would be more happy to read their whole time until marriage but since 2/3 of the story finished at the first year i just hope it wont end with "age 18, i love you yakumo-san" that ending would feel so uncompleted and disappointing.
