As of late, I’ve been slowly working down my anime to-watch list. During the length of July, I finally got to watch all of “As Miss Beelzebub Likes.” Very mofu! I felt super compelled to buy the official English volumes to find out what happens after episode 12.

Much like the anime, the manga is supremely slice-of-life with a big dose of rom-com. There is development, believe me! Plus, it’s worth reading from the start of the series, since the anime skips chapters here and there.

One thing I love about the official volumes is how the localizers did their sfx: they place the romanized word beside the sfx, and then have the localized form in parentheses! It’s simple, but genius! It really does help me learn how to read hirigana and katakana!

Nevertheless, I’m happy to see fan-translators try to pick up this series. Thank you! I hope more people come to love this little gem of a story!

A surprising coincidence, this series got picked up around the same time I finished watching the anime.

In short, I would say that this series is devilishly adorable. For anybody that is still hesitant about reading the series, don’t be!

I cant agree more. I really want to read this series, but the official translation is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow.

Volume 11 of official translations comes out in about a month (December 2020) and volume 12 will probably come out in March or April (based on previous English volume releases).

the anime was what got me hooked onto this manga years ago. but honestly, up till now im only around chapter 40+ because i dont want this series to end in my heart. i even bought vol 1 to vol 11 in japanese physical copy just because i love this unique art done by Matoba.

also, if anyone knows where to buy vol. 12 of the manga in japanese, do let me know. been trying to find it since 2021

I am reading it, right now in Volume 3 and it feels like the development might be glacial. I glimpsed into Volume 10 and to see the main couple still acting like they did in the first one, doesn't exactly fill me with confidence.

They get together in the last 10 pages after 12 volumes........I can't recommend this for the Romance.
The ecchiness in the beginning is just bait, how dishonest, either do it or don't.

I was striking you for spoiling the romance, like someone else did in a previous comment. Some people like to not know that stuff when reading blind.

They get together in the last 10 pages after 12 volumes........

A part of me thinks that is saving the poor fools who might want to read it for that reason, but you are right I should have used spoilers.
If I could edit it or delete it (to rewrite it) I would, but I can't.

I can see where you are coming from, but still, you should really have just wrote something like "Warning about how the author handles the romance: spoiler answer."

Either way the only thing you can do now is report your own comment and just explain in the report that you made a mistake and want spoilers added to your comment. I did the same thing in the past with one of my own comments so it does work.
