Can't get a bed? Room space is more of an issue. A king + a twin (the side) at foot of the bed would likely be enough. Just get a custom fitted thin cotton / foam pad and sheets, and an extra long bed is easy. Anyone with sewing skill could make one.

Clothes would be just as simple. Unless they are going to try to turn their hunter into a seamstress, there is no reason to deny these orders.

Futon was denied on purpose. Having them sleep in separate futons defeats the point of the plan.
